We Take Care Of Your Home While We’re There

Protecting Your Yard, Your Plants, And More

The last thing anyone wants to happen during a roof replacement is for their property to be damaged or broken. This could be anything from trucks tearing up the yard to old shingles falling from the roof and damaging plants.

You’d hope something like this could be avoided.

And with the right contractor, it can.

At Houston Roofing & Construction, we go the extra mile for our client’s homes. We take the time to care for leaving your home the same or BETTER than how we found it.

It Begins During Your Consultation

The easiest way to put it is this – we listen.

During your consultation, we’ll discuss your home in great detail. You’ll pick materials and products, and we’ll even go over scheduling.

Also, during your consultation, we’ll have a conversation. That’s where we’ll learn about what’s important to you, specifically parts of your home that you might be worried about during the installation phase of your roof replacement or repairs.

Maybe you have a garden nearby or many plants, and you’re concerned about debris falling from the roof. Or you could have small trees or statues in your yard close to your house that would be very difficult to move.

Homeowners tend to mention things that they’re worried about. And we don’t just let that go in one ear and out the other.

We listen.

Then, we take steps to help protect what matters most to you – in addition to a phenomenal roof replacement.

Construction Is Messy

Of course, construction is messy. Demolishing and tearing down old construction and installing something new will always be messy work.

There are many kinds of debris, from old shingles and nails to leaves, wood, and more. Things fall off your roof, and a lot of them are heavy.

But we’re organized and prepared because we don’t want all that debris in your yard.

Or in your driveway.

Or in your pool.

While some other contractors may not worry about how they leave your property after they finish the job, we care about your property from start to finish.

It’s part of our core values and who we are as a company.

Protecting Your Driveways, Pools, & Landscaping

Protecting parts of your home or yard takes extra consideration and planning, so that’s what we do.

When it comes to your pool, we’ll likely bypass it by removing debris from other sides of the house. Or, if the slope of the roof makes it impossible, we’ll put a tarp over the pool. Then, we’ll secure the tarp so that when debris falls onto it, it won’t sag into the pool.

If necessary, we can create a blockade so debris doesn’t slide off the roof in that direction. We also use netting and tarps to protect landscaping as well.

Then there’s your driveway.

Typically, if we can park the trash and debris trailer in the driveway, it’s the best option available. In a case where the home had a brand-new driveway, we laid out plywood over the entire driveway to protect it from tire marks and any other damage it might suffer.

While it’s created more work for us, we’ve even worked with homeowners who didn’t want us on their driveways at all. Walking everything to the street was less efficient – but it wasn’t about us.

It was about understanding what was important to our clients and accommodating them whenever possible.

This is how we operate, by caring about our clients’ needs.

We’ve Broken Things, Too – But
We Always Make It Right

Unfortunately, we’re not perfect. We’ve broken or damaged some things along the way. Construction is messy and there’s really no way to avoid that. What’s different about us is how we handle it.

We take responsibility for anything we may damage and make it right.

Our highest priority is avoiding breaking anything but a sweat, but sometimes it’s impossible to avoid. And sometimes, we make mistakes. But we learn from them, and we correct them.

We listen, plan, and take extra steps to protect your property during roof repairs or replacement. This is a measure of our integrity as a company and our respect for you.

So, if you need a roofing contractor in the Greater Houston area who will go the extra mile to take care of your home, contact Houston Roofing & Construction to schedule a consultation.
